Everyone
likes the felling of bright clean teeth, and we do everything
we can within the practice to ensure you leave with
a confident smile. But in the months between visits
it’s important that you keep up a regular dental
routine and avoid products with excess sugar.
Limit Sugar – High Sugar products such
as fizzy pop, sweets and crisps all work against us
when trying to keep healthy gums and teeth. Try to avoid
these foods whenever possible, and if you must use them
always brush your teeth following your meals.
Regular Brushing – We would advise
that you brush your teeth at least twice a day, morning
and evening is best but if possible brush after every
meal. After eating any food tartar starts to build and
small particles of food can become lodged between the
teeth leading to bad breath and irritation.
Dental
Flossing – Many people overlook the benefits
of flossing each morning. Dental floss is a thin thread
coated in antibacterial solution; it is placed between
the teeth and moved back and forth loosening and removing
any trapped food or dirt, use this before brushing your
teeth and the excess food and dirt are washed away while
brushing.
Mouth
Wash – Modern mouth wash solution is
highly effective in freshening breath and preventing
the build up of plague and dirt. The Mouth wash is gargled
for up to 30 seconds before being disposed into the
sink, taking any dirt with it.
