Dr
Anthony Cooper :- Anthony has lived in the
Newcastle area since 1992, although originally from
Sunderland. He obtained his degree from Newcastle University
and immediately joined the Royal Navy on a short career
commission. Of the 6 years spent in the Forces 3 years
were spent in the Far East working for the Sultan of
Brunei, looking after the dental care of the Royal Brunei
Armed Forces. On returning to England in 1992 Anthony
joined Mayfield House Dental Practice in Gosforth which
had a well-respected reputation for providing high quality
Private Dental Care. During the 90’s Anthony became
a postgraduate vocational trainer, teaching newly qualified
dentists within the Practice. Anthony has held teaching
posts in both the dept of restorative dentistry and
dept of prosthetics at Newcastle dental school. Currently
Anthony runs the local branch of the Association
of dental implantology . He organises for local
and international speakers to come to Newcastle to speak
to like minded dentists on Dental Implantology
Anthony
likes to keep abreast of current developments and has
attended training courses in America, Mauritius, Hong
Kong, Germany and Belgium as well as those in the UK..
Senior
Nurse - Leanne Rowley qualified as a dental
nurse in 2000. In 2005 she gained a distinction in the
dental nurses sedation qualification and was awarded
the national Roche award for best candidate.
Reception
& Dental Nurse:- Claire Normand qualified
as a dental nurse in 1994. She worked for several years
as a nurse but now enjoys the administrative and reception
side of our practice.
Hygienist
Service:-
We are pleased to be able to offer the services of our
highly trained dental hygienist. She works closely with
our patients to encourage and promote good dental health
by undertaking gum treatments and instruction in the
most effective methods of plaque control
